Hilal Public Secondary School

Hilal Public Secondary School is situated in a remote area predominantly inhabited by the Muslim community and has established itself as a pioneer in promoting quality education with strong cultural and religious foundations. The school offers classes from Early Childhood Development (ECD) up to Grade 12. 

According to the 2081 B.S. report published by the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), the school has a total enrollment of 1,316 students, supported by 45 teaching staff and 6 non-teaching personnel. It also accommodates 90 students in its hostel, which is known for its structured and disciplined environment.

Hilal Public Secondary School adopts a unique model of education by integrating religious teachings with the national curriculum. Alongside standard subjects, the school places special emphasis on Quran, Urdu, Arabic, and Deeniyat, and provides opportunities for students to memorize the entire Quran through its Tahfeezul Qur’an program. 

The school also conducts mathematics and science classes in English to enhance academic quality and prepare students for a competitive future. The learning environment is further strengthened by well-equipped computer and science laboratories, a library, digital classrooms, and specialized AICU classes for students requiring extra academic support.

Hilal Public School not only focuses on academic excellence but also promotes life skills through vocational training such as tailoring and sewing. The school has achieved notable success in extracurricular activities as well, having secured third place in the 15th President Running Shield and Chairperson Cup school-level sports competition organized by Harinagar Rural Municipality in 2081 B.S. 

Additionally, students have proudly represented the school in national events such as the All-Nepal Hifz-e-Quran Competition organized by the Muslim Commission. As part of its educational enrichment programs, the school organizes educational tours to places like the Islamic Cultural Center, Nepali Jame Masjid, Kashmiri Jama Masjid, and Tribhuvan University, where students visit key academic and cultural sites, including the TU Library and cricket grounds.
