The school is located at Sukedhara, New Colony, one of the most popular VIP residential areas. Yet it is not purely or primarily an urban school. It is insulated from the hustle and bustle of city life by spacious grounds, greenery, and fields around it. As the main route centre, the BBS is accessible by bus, car, and other means of public transport from all parts of the Kathmandu valley.

The school's educational plan is designed to meet the demands of the international curriculum. Presently, Bagmati offers classes from Playgroup through class XII. School will start 'A' level classes (affiliated to Cambridge University, U.K.) in the near future.
