Amar Jyoti Model Secondary School was established in 1960 AD (2017 B.S.) as a publicly owned academic institution located in Birendranagar-12, Neware, Chanaute, Surkhet, in Karnali Province of Nepal. The school is affiliated with the National Examinations Board (NEB) and the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and is approved by the Ministry of Education, Nepal. It offers Ten Plus Two (10+2) programs in Science, Management, and Education, along with diploma-level programs such as Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Geomatics Engineering with an intake of 40 students in each program annually.

Admission Guidelines

Eligibility

For the +2 program in Education:

Students must have completed SEE or equivalent with a minimum GPA 1.6. He/She should have minimum D+ in English, Nepali, Social Studies, and EPH.

For the +2 program in Management:

Students who will to enroll in grade 11 and study the following subjects (Mathematics/Accountancy/Economics/Computer Science/Teaching Mathematics/Elements of Finance/Jyotish/Business Mathematics/Cooperative Management, Business Studies/Geography/Psychology) must score GPA 1.6 and should have a minimum D+ in English, Nepali, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies in SEE examination.

For the +2 program in Science:

Students who will to enroll in grade 11 Science Subject Group (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics/Computer Science/Agriculture) must score GPA 2.0, C+ in Science and Math and D+ English, Nepali and Social Studies in SEE examination.

For Diploma in Civil Engineering and Geomatics Engineering:

Must secure at least Grade C in Compulsory Mathematics, and Compulsory Science and Grade D+ in English in SEE examination from a recognized academic institution.
