Municipal Education Committee of Biratnagar Metropolitan City has issued a notice for students seeking Class 11 scholarships at its institutional schools for the academic session 2082 BS.
Eligible students can apply online via the Biratnagar Metropolitan City website by clicking on the Class 11 online scholarship form, or directly logging into scholarship.biratnagarmun.gov.np

Time, fee, and minimum qualification for submitting the online application form
a. Last date for submitting form: Until 11:59 PM on 2082/03/28 BS
b. Application fee: Free
c. Minimum qualification: SEE examination with a minimum of 1.6 GPA- Curriculum and passing marks arrangement for the selection examination
a. All questions will be multiple-choice.
b. Based on the Class 10 curriculum, 90 marks will be proportionally asked from compulsory subjects Nepali, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, and 10 marks from General Knowledge. Each question will carry 2 marks, and the total full marks will be 100.
c. A minimum of 40 marks must be obtained to pass the selection examination. A minimum of 40 marks must be obtained to pass the selection examination.
a.The online Class 11 scholarship form will be available by clicking on the scholarship form on Biratnagar Metropolitan City's website www.biratnagarmun.gov.np or by logging in to scholarship.biratnagarmun.gov.np. Hardcopy forms will not be accepted.
b. While filling out the online form, one must prioritize at least 5 schools in the subject they wish to study. If they don't get selected in their aspired school, the examination committee will recommend him/her to the school having an empty quota for the scholarship.
c. If the details provided are found to be false, the candidate's application form will be rejected and the admission fee, if paid, will also be forfeited. Other arrangements regarding this will be as per the prevailing law.
d.The applicant should preview all their details and only submit the application form if the details are correct. No details can be obtained after submitting the application form.
e.Photos and other necessary documents must be uploaded in JPG or PNG format and within the specified size.
Provision for Printing Admit Card
The applicant must click on the "Print Admit Card" button from their personal ID and print the admit card themselves at least 2 days before the exam date. Information regarding the exam will be mentioned on the admit card itself. Without an admit card, participation in the exam will not be allowed.
Exam Center and Result Publication
Information regarding the exam center for scholarship selection, arrangements for result publication, and other exam-related information will be published on the Metropolitan City's website, www.biratnagarmun.gov.np, 3 days before the exam.
Scholarship Reservation System
a. According to the "Biratnagar Metropolitan City Institutional School Scholarship Distribution Procedure 2079", at least 10% of the total scholarships available in institutional schools within Biratnagar Metropolitan City are reserved as follows:
(i) Jehendar (Meritorious) - 25 percent
(ii) Vipanna (Economically Disadvantaged) - 25 percent
(iii) Janajati (Indigenous ) - 10 percent
(iv) Dalit - 5 percent
(v) Differently abled- 5 percent
(vi) Muslim-5 percent
(vii) Others- 5 percent
b. Fifty percent of the scholarships allocated to each reserved group are secured for female students. If there are not enough female students, those quotas will be provided to male students.
c. For scholarship selection, at least 50% of the quota will be allocated to students from community schools.
d. If there are no applications for the quotas mentioned above, or if there are applications but no candidate passes the examination, or if the quota cannot be filled due to any other reason specified, the decision of the examination steering committee will be to redistribute those quotas to other application categories.
e. A student can apply for a scholarship from only one of the above-mentioned reservation groups.
f. Scholarships mentioned under other headings above will be distributed through the school.
g. A student who receives a Class 11 scholarship will automatically receive a Class 12 scholarship as well, but the school is not obligated to provide it in the following circumstances:
(i) If attendance is not 80 percent of the total school days.
(ii) If married below the legally prescribed age.
(iii) If not promoted to the next class.
(iv) If the provided details are found to be false or incorrect.
(v) If the education rules and the code of conduct prepared by the school are violated.Document Submission
Candidates wishing to be in the reserved group must submit the following documents for the group they wish to apply for:
a. Documents certified by the local level if the SEE was passed from a community school.
b. Copy of the disability identity card for disability-related scholarships.
c. For Dalit or Janajati scholarships, a recommendation letter from the concerned District Administration Office.
d. For economically disadvantaged scholarships, a Vipanna identity card or, if not available, a recommendation from the Ward Office.
e. For the children of martyrs, injureds individuals from the people's movement and Madhesh movement, and the descendants of disappeared families, certified documents obtained from the Government of Nepal/concerned authority.
All other arrangements regarding scholarships will be as per the Biratnagar Metropolitan City Institutional School Scholarship Distribution Procedure 2081.
