The Department of Plant Resources (DPR), under the Ministry of Forests and Environment, has opened applications for the prestigious “National Botany Award 2082.”
Established to recognize exceptional efforts in the botanical sector, the award carries a significant cash prize of Rs 2,00,000. The award aims to honor individuals who have done commendable work in the social, economic, and environmental development of the country through the conservation, promotion, and sustainable use of plants, as well as those who have made significant contributions to the identification, study, research, and technological development of botanical diversity. It also aims to motivate researchers toward botanical studies and technological innovation.
