Hult Prize 2025/26 at Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) successfully conducted the Storytelling and Perfect Pitch Programme on January 31, 2026, in Room 305, Block F&G. The event equipped 8 participants with essential communication skills for presenting their entrepreneurial ideas effectively to investors, judges, and stakeholders, marking a crucial step in preparing teams for upcoming competition stages.

Under the leadership of Campus Director Mr. Rohan Singh and hosted by EMCEE Riya Shahi, the programme provided a comprehensive introduction to storytelling and elevator-pitch methodologies. The session was expertly facilitated by Mr. Ashik Rajbhandari, Executive Director and Founder of CECAB, who brought extensive expertise in entrepreneurial communication and presentation techniques.

Mr. Rajbhandari's session combined theoretical frameworks with interactive discussions, using slides and real-world examples to demonstrate effective communication techniques. He guided participants through fundamental principles of storytelling, including narrative arc, emotional engagement, and clear value proposition communication, demonstrating how entrepreneurs can transform complex ideas into accessible, memorable stories that resonate with diverse audiences.

The presentation covered essential components of an effective elevator pitch—the problem statement, proposed solution, unique value proposition, target market, and call to action. Mr. Rajbhandari emphasized the importance of clarity, conciseness, and confidence when presenting ideas within limited time frames, typically 60 to 90 seconds. His interactive approach encouraged active participation, allowing attendees to engage in discussions and better understand how to present their ideas persuasively.

The workshop culminated in a hands-on elevator pitch session where participants applied their newly acquired knowledge by pitching their own Hult Prize concepts. Teams delivered their pitches to the audience, gaining invaluable experience in real-time presentations and learning to articulate ideas clearly while managing time constraints. This practical component offered participants opportunities to receive feedback and refine their presentation approaches, building confidence in their communication skills.

Campus Director Mr. Rohan Singh presented a Token of Love to Mr. Ashik Raj Bhandari in recognition of his valuable contributions and inspiring guidance throughout the session. In his closing remarks, Mr. Singh emphasized the importance of the skills participants had acquired, noting that effective communication would be crucial throughout their Hult Prize journey and future entrepreneurial endeavors, and encouraged continued practice and refinement.

The Storytelling and Perfect Pitch Programme successfully achieved its objectives of equipping participants with essential communication skills for entrepreneurial success. The integration of theoretical learning with hands-on pitching practice ensured that participants not only understood storytelling concepts intellectually but also applied them in real-world presentation scenarios, overcoming presentation anxiety and building confidence that will serve them throughout their Hult Prize journey and beyond.
