The Master's in Risk & Insurance Management (MRIM) program at Bagmati University is a four-semester graduate course designed to cultivate highly skilled professionals in the fields of risk management, insurance, reinsurance, actuarial foundations, data analytics, and regulatory frameworks. The program combines theoretical learning with practical experience through practicum courses, industry and educational excursions, a six-month internship, and a master's thesis.

Students in the MRIM program can specialize in one of five areas: Life Insurance, Pension Fund and Asset Management; Social Insurance; Non-Life Insurance; Reinsurance; or Risk Management. This specialization allows students to gain focused expertise that aligns with industry needs.

The program employs a modern, student-centered teaching and learning approach, incorporating interactive and case-based instruction along with problem- and project-based learning.
