Brooklyn College in Sukedhara, Kathmandu, offers a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU). This four-year degree aims to develop empathetic and skilled professionals dedicated to making positive changes in individuals and communities. Graduates are prepared for careers in NGOs, INGOs, government agencies, health institutions, and educational settings, as well as for further study in social work (MSW) or related fields.
The curriculum adheres to TU's guidelines, combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Students cover essential topics such as Social Work Methods, Social Psychology, Sociology, and Human Rights. A significant part of the program includes supervised fieldwork, providing valuable real-world experience.
Eligibility
For students who passed Grade 12 Before 2079 BS
Minimum D+ grade in each subject of grade 11 and 12 with CGPA 2.0 or more, or,
Minimum score of second division marks in 10+2, PCL, or equivalent in any discipline.
For students who passed Grade 12 in or after 2079 BS
Minimum D+ grade in each subject of grade 11 and 12 with CGPA 2.0 or more, or,
Minimum score of second division marks in 10+2, PCL, or equivalent in any discipline.
