Tribhuvan University Invites Applications for Various Programs under Human Resource Development and Welfare Program

Tribhuvan University has issued a notice inviting applications for scholarships under the Human Resource Development and Welfare Program for the fiscal year 2082/083.
This program aims to support the professional development of TU teachers and staff. Applications are invited for:
Teachers: PhD and MPhil programs
Staff: PhD, MPhil, Master’s, and Bachelor’s level programs
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Currently working as teachers or staff of TU
Have completed:
Minimum 3 years of permanent service in campuses/offices within Kathmandu Valley
Minimum 2 years of permanent service outside the Valley
Be below 50 years of age
Have enrolled in the respective program in FY 2082/083 and not completed 1 year of enrollment
Have obtained prior approval from TU
Eligible teachers from TU-affiliated community campuses/colleges may also apply.
Application Procedure
Interested and eligible applicants must:
Submit application forms as per TU Human Resource Development Regulation 2080
Get the form certified by the concerned head of institution
Submit within 21 days from the date of publication in Gorkhapatra
Attach the payment voucher of NPR 1000 deposited in:
Nepal Bank Ltd.

Applications must be submitted to: Office of the Rector, Coordination Division, Kirtipur
Late or incomplete applications will not be processed.

Important Notes
Applicants must submit verified documents supporting qualifications, experience, training, publications, and research.
Providing false information will lead to action as per Regulation 27(d).
A bio-data must be attached to the application.
The NPR 1000 fee must be deposited and proof submitted with the application.
PhD applicants must submit:
Research proposal (4 copies)
Abstract of at least 250 words (4 copies)
For subjects requiring MPhil before PhD:
MPhil certificate and enrollment proof must be submitted
Degrees from foreign universities must include equivalence certification from TU Curriculum Development Center
Applicants must submit all necessary verified supporting documents along with the application form, including academic qualifications, experience, training, service in remote districts, and publications such as books, booklets, research papers, journals, and articles.
Publications (books, research papers, articles, etc.) will be evaluated and marks will be awarded accordingly. If such works are not submitted, no marks will be given for them. Marks for other certificates will be awarded as per the regulations. Applications will not be accepted on the condition of submitting documents later.
The submitted publications must be collected from the Coordination Division within 35 days after the publication of scholarship results. If the concerned teacher does not collect them within this period, the division will not be responsible.
Applicants are advised to have their forms checked by the concerned staff of the Coordination Division before submission to minimize the chances of rejection.
Only those teachers and staff who have been registered in a PhD or MPhil program within the past year are eligible to apply.
The application form, along with all required documents, must be submitted to the Coordination Division.
The decision of the University Human Resource Development and Welfare Committee regarding the scholarship will be final. For further information, applicants may contact the Coordination Division at 01-4321044.
Note: Although quotas have been allocated to the Institute of Science and Technology and various faculties, specific subjects have not been fixed. Therefore, selection will be made through open competitive merit-based evaluation among teachers of all subjects within the respective institutes and faculties.
