Kathmandu Model Secondary School (KMC Bagbazar), a renowned educational institution that successfully carved out a distinguished reputation for its consistent 100% pass rate and outstanding performance in NEB exams, has opened admission  for the following programs:

Over the course of nearly two decades since its establishment in  2000 A.D, KMC  consistently renovated and upgraded its facilities, fostering a technologically advanced and welcoming academic environment that is conducive to effective teaching and learning. 

Entrance Test:

The Admission Committee administers the Entrance Test for various programs. The test is objective in format, and students have the option to take it either in handwritten or computer-based mode.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Science:

  • Students must have secured at least a 2.80 GPA in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) or an equivalent recognized board.
  • They must have at least a C+ grade in Science, Compulsory Mathematics, and English.

For Management

  • Students must have secured at least a 2.05 GPA in the SEE or an equivalent recognized board.
  • They must have at least a D+ grade in Compulsory Mathematics and English.

For  Law:

  • Students must have secured at least a 1.60 GPA in the SEE or an equivalent recognized board.
  • They must have at least a D+ grade in Compulsory Mathematics and English.

Scholarship Opportunities

KMC provides a wide range of merit-based, need-based, or student-specific scholarships under its scholarship program. 

A. BASIC SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES 

Those who are eligible for the scholarship criteria must get admission before the completion of the scholarship quota, as the scholarship is available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

• Scholarship for Science in Grade XI during admission is awarded based on cumulative marks [SEE (25%) + KMC Entrance (75%)]. 

• Marks of SEE will be calculated as follows:

B. Metropolitan Scholarship

Metropolitan scholarship will be granted to the listed students from Kathmandu Metropolitan City. 

C. Special Scholarship Schemes

  • The limited number of scholarships will be awarded on a merit basis, and the student must pass each terminal exam to continue the scholarship.

  • Sushil Memorial Scholarship, which is established in memory of Late Sushil Sahani, will be provided to the top three students of the KMC first entrance examination. Students securing at least 2.85 GPA in SEE or in an equivalent recognized board with B grade each in Science, Compulsory Mathematics, Optional Mathematics, and English will be eligible for the science stream. 

D. Silver Jubilee Scholarship

KMC is offering a special scholarship scheme this year for 25 students to mark its  25th anniversary. The 25 outstanding students will be selected to receive a significantly subsidized education, with only Rs. 25,000 annually. The students will be chosen based on merit. Entrance examination for the scholarship will be held on 22nd Asar, 2082.

Valid Email ID:

  •  Students are required to use a valid email address, as all documents will be sent to that email address. After submitting the form, students shall check their email, including the 'Spam' folder if needed. 

Admit Card:

  • The admit card for the entrance examination will be sent to the student's registered email. The student must ensure that they bring a printed copy of the admit card to the examination venue.

Entrance Details:

  • Details about the entrance examination will be provided on the admit card.
