Godawari Residential School, located in Badegaun, Godawari-14, Lalitpur, announces that admission is open for grades 1 to 9 for the academic year 2082/83.
The following are the age guidelines for children entering GRS School. The child must have reached the specified age by March 31st of the admission year.
For entry to Class 3 and upwards, children are required to take an aptitude test. This test will reflect what the school expects a child to be able to do by the end of the preceding school year. However, those seeking admission in the final term will be assessed against the learning objectives for their current year of study.
Students seeking admission to Classes 3-5 will be assessed on their skills in English, Science, and Mathematics.
Students seeking admission to Class 6 and above will also be assessed on their understanding of scientific concepts, in addition to Mathematics, Science, and English.
The school prefers to meet students personally to discuss their interests and academic progress. This process is also essential for those who have found the aptitude tests challenging, as a further assessment may be conducted to place the student in the appropriate class. If possible, the school likes to meet both parents.
Godawari Residential School always welcomes students and strives to provide a platform for them to showcase their abilities.
For those applying from outside Lalitpur, please email copies of your identification documentation to the school, and we will respond accordingly.
The school will conduct an online aptitude test for these applicants. It requires that the test is conducted fairly and that the work submitted is the child’s own. After evaluating the test, if a conversation with the child is deemed essential, a telephonic interview will be arranged.
Applicants from outside Lalitpur are often interested in the hostel facility. Details of the hostel can be found in the boarding option section. The address and contact details of a local guardian may be furnished at the time of admission.
The school expects all students to be on time for all classes and ensures that every child receives a full-time education that meets their needs.
The school requires a student to submit a dated note from their parents or guardians to the Vice Principal explaining the reason for lateness or absence. If a student is late in the morning on three occasions within a month, their parents or guardians will be informed, and the school will seek their cooperation in addressing the matter.
If a student is late on three occasions within the same week, their parents or guardians will be asked to attend a meeting with the Vice Principal to discuss the issue. Students may be given extra written work or may receive in-house suspension. Continued lack of improvement in punctuality may result in suspension from school.
A child may miss school only in the following situations:
Permission from the Principal is required to take a child out of school during term time. This is allowed only if:
The Principal has the authority to decide how many days a child may be away from school if leave is granted.
