Admission Open for PhD in Development Studies - Pokhara University

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Pokhara University has announced the opening of admissions for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Development Studies. Eligible applicants from around the world are invited to apply. This program seeks candidates with strong academic backgrounds who are highly motivated, curious, and driven by a desire for intellectual excellence.

  • Last Date for Application Form Submission: August 24, 2025 (Bhadra 8, 2082)
  • Note: A total of 10 seats are available.

Eligibility

A master's degree in any field from any other recognized university, along with the following specific qualifications:

  • Two years of working experience for those who have passed Master's Level with a 3.00/4.00 CGPA or a high Second Division (55%)
  • One-year working experience for those who have passed Master's Level with a 3.30/4.00 CGPA or First Division
  • There will be no requirement for working experience for those who have passed Master's Level with a 3.75/4.00 CGPA or Distinction Division.
